Print-on-Demand Wall Art from Barrie Foster & Associates
Foster : Images is an online collection of (predominantly) Pembrokeshire images by local photographer and editor Barrie Foster. Pembrokeshire is one of the most photogenic counties in the British Isles, from the remote uplands of the Preseli Hills to dramatic sea cliffs and idyllic beaches, with richly wooded valleys linking the two and a mix of settlements and architectural styles to satisfy the most eclectic of tastes.
This selection has been chosen from my substantial digital photo library, developed since I traded in my much-loved Nikon F3 in 2002. The main emphasis is on images that lend themselves to display as wall art by the hospitality trade and other businesses or simply as quality gifts and mementos. There is more than a sideways nod towards the semi-abstract in some of the categories, reflecting a micro-climate at the whim of Atlantic weather systems. My architectural captures have, over the years, ranged from the Neolithic to the post-modern, with a particular focus on the local vernacular. Monochrome images have their own impact and take me back to my photographic roots.
The images have been carefully selected and processed specifically for display, and are equally suitable for business or domestic settings. Each image links to its counterpart in my Photo4Me portfolio. Photo4Me is an online gallery and print-on-demand service that allows customers to select from a range of sizes and options, which include canvas and MDF, framed prints, photo block and box prints.

About Me
I trained and served as an RAF photographer in the 1960s, working mainly on technical subjects and specialist service applications. Since the 1970s I have been involved in marketing services and tourism marketing in various ways, setting up my own practice in 1985.
In 1987 I relocated to Pembrokeshire, a move made possible by an invitation to join the (then) Wales Tourist Board Business Advisory Service as an independent development and marketing specialist. My work with the WTB, other development agencies and private sector clients took me all over Wales and a camera was always to hand for opportunist captures. Images from the resulting ad hoc colour slide library have been used in both traditional and new media by a variety of clients and organisations over many years.
Digital photography opened up a whole new world of possibilities and the motivation to revisit local sections of the Wales Coast Path. But there have been other times, other places and other subjects.
